Global Head of In-House Practice
Rachel Newman is the Global Head of RPN's In-House practice. Prior to founding RPN, Rachel spent 10 years gaining the trust of partners, associates, and in-house attorneys looking to make positive career moves. Priding herself on listening to candidates and clients, Rachel's down-to earth approach, and her ability to see every meeting as a long term relationship have helped her build one of the strongest attorney and new client referral networks in the industry. Rachel has successfully placed partners and associates with top firms and boutiques, and has managed in-house relationships with not-for-profits, health care institutions, hedge funds, technology and consumer product companies. Rachel enjoys meeting General Counsels to identify the future of their legal department and advise them on best hiring practices. She is constantly evaluating, advising and strategizing with clients regarding their diversity and women’s initiatives.
Rachel earned her law degree, cum laude, from Hofstra University. She was a member of the Law Review. Her undergraduate degree, also cum laude, is in Sociology from Brandeis University. Before becoming a legal search consultant, Rachel was an associate with Sidley Austin, in both the investment management and commercial litigation groups.
